Mrs. Wonders Announces State Science Fair Results!
Nine students’ Science Fair projects from Delavan Schools were selected to represent the Illinois Junior Academy of Science Region One at the State Science Fair held Saturday, May 4th at the University of Illinois Assembly Hall in Champaign-Urbana. Seventh Graders Alyssa Turner and Abby Garret ; eighth graders Abigail Rademaker, Geoffrey Diver and Logan Darling; and twelfth graders Daniel Long , Marissa Rademaker, Madalynn Carr, and Hope Kensinger displayed their projects at the State Fair, along with 1020 additional projects from around the state. Grant for School Supplies and School Shoes
TAZWOOD COMMUNITY SERVICES HAS RECEIVED A GRANT TO PURCHASE SCHOOL SHOES AND BOOK BAGS WITH BASIC SCHOOL SUPPLIES FOR STUDENTS GRADES K –12 WHO LIVE IN TAZEWELL OR WOODFORD COUNTIES. Delavan Elementary Students Need Our Help!
DELAVAN ELEMENTARY STUDENTS NEED OUR HELP! The Delavan elementary students are in desperate need of new playground equipment. The school was recently forced to remove one of the main, larger pieces of equipment (as shown in the photograph) that was built in 1992 for various insurance and safety reasons. As a result, the same number of kids are now playing on a playground with far less equipment.
