The Delavan Elementary School's 5th annual Camp Read-A-Lot will be held on November 16, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. in the Poppenga Gymnasium. This event is for students only.
The purpose of it is to get our students involved in reading. Delavan CUSD #703 staff wants our students to understand the purpose and enjoyment when it comes to reading. We have put together this fun filled event in hopes that our students will come out and enjoy an evening of "Reading Under the Stars". We will be providing pizza, snacks and a drink. We're very excited to have Mike Anderson as our featured storyteller. Students are encouraged to dress in their pajamas and slippers and bring a sleeping bag or blanket. The last half hour of this event the students will be “Reading Under the Stars”. The lights will be out and the students will use their flashlight, head lamp or battery operated lantern to read silently.
