H1N1 Influenza Update
H1N1 Influenza Update
Parents/Guardians:
The H1N1 influenza has been a serious health topic in the news recently. As you may know flu is spreading easily from person to person and school-age children are among the groups most affected. We are taking steps to prevent the spread of flu in the Delavan School District. We are working closely with the Illinois State Board of Education and the Tazewell County Health Department to monitor flu conditions and make decisions about the best steps to take.
All Delavan CUSD #703 students should be brining home two articles from the Tazewell County Health Department that contain worthwhile information in regard to preventing the flu and recognizing flu-like symptoms. These articles are titled Good Health Habits Can Help Stop Germs and Tazewell County Health Department Encourages People Stay Informed.
Further information in regard to the 2009 H1N1 Flu (Swine Flu) is located at these websites http://www.cdc.gov/swineflu/ from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the World Health Organization at http://www.who.int/en/.
